Welcome to my pages and thanks for stopping by. If you're looking for the
pages that details software integration for WSTJ-X, JTAlert, Grid Tracker
and Log4OMV2...here's a
shortcut.
I've been an amateur radio operator for 60 years and was first licensed
in Galesburg, Illinois in 1960 as KN9FMR.
My
radio interests came from my father who was never a ham, but he always had an
interest in listening to radio. He started by building a crystal receiver in his
youth in the 1920's and we built radios together when I was a kid, and I got to the point I wanted to
talk to others as well as listen.
Ham radio has changed dramatically over the years since I began, moving from
tubes to solid state devices to microprocessors; removing Morse Code requirements
and changing licensing structure. However, the
new technology has added many exciting things through digital and satellite
communications. Ham radio seems to be ever-evolving.
{Landscape photography is
another passion of mine, so
I've linked to my galleries as well if you'd care to have a look.}
